The story behind the image
During our 2003 trip to California we also stayed for one night in Santa Barbara. Before sunset we went to the harbor and to Stearns Wharf with its restaurants. From here, we had a fantastic view at the setting sun, and I could capture this image. I like it so much because it consists just of yellow and orange shades, and black. And no, I did not use any filters for the photo and also did not add the color during post-production. It’s just perfect – for me, that is.
