The story behind the image
I like iconic, simplistic design. The original Fiat 500 is a good example for such simplicity. It is perfectly adapted to the narrow streets that can be found in every Italian community. It may not offer a lot of comfort but it brings you safely from A to B. It does not consume a lot of gasoline and can be parked in small parking lots where bigger cars just fail.
I found this car in Bologna, Italy, while roaming the streets. I put it to the bottom of the image which makes it appear even smaller than it is. I also like the fact that it is eactly as long as the wall behind it, and centering the car was a good idea. And it’s in a good condition, too. It even has a sunroof for air conditioning – ideal for Italy.
