The story behind the image
I had just purchased my first DSLR – a Canon 1ds mark II – and took it for a day trip to Tegernsee to get used to the new beast. Tegernsee is one of the beautiful lakes just north of the German Alps, and it’s just an hour drive from Munich. Fall had arrived, but it was still warm enough to enjoy the afternoon sun. In Gmund am Tegernsee I spotted this pier with the two women sitting at the end, gazing at the calm lake and the awesome backdrop of the mountains.
