The story behind the image
This shot shows the western facing side of the Colosseum, along the Via dei Fori Imperali from the edge of the Monumento a Vittorio Emanuele II. It’s a long shot with a tele lens (probably the FD 70-210 mm).
It’s interesting to see the people walking on the wide street while there seems to be no traffic at all. It almost looks like a pedestrian area.
A nice shot that reminds me that I definitely need to return to Rome soon. 🙂
