The story behind the image
Recently I found a small set of six images that were shot by an anonymous photographer probably towards the end of the 1960s. Sadly, there was no note of the date (or actually any information at all) on the framed slides, so I did a bit of research and found it to be Croatia.
While I have never been to Croatia I realized now that this was a huge mistake!
This nice image was taken in Split. The photographer went all the way up to the top of the tower Zvonik svetoga Duje and captured this beautiful view across the old town of Split. Not only can you see the historical tower ‘Mletački kaštel’ (aka ‘Venetian Tower’) but discover many details like the bed linen that hangs in the sun for drying.
Very nice.
