The story behind the image
Yesterday I share a 1960 view of the River Limmat in Zurich, Switzerland. Here is an image from our 2005 long weekend trip to the city. Here we look from the Limmatquai across the river at the Hotel Zum Storchen, one of the (many) premium hotels in town. In the back, the tower of the historic church St. Peter lurks over the hotel.
Actually, there were storks on the roof of the hotel, and I guess these were real storks!

What’s more, there is an old-fashioned carousel on the right which underlines the notion of Zurich being a huge playground for grown-ups. (Of course, this is just a bad joke. There are many children in the city, and they like to ride the carousel as much as any other kid in the world.)
Zurich? A fantastic place to be.
