The story behind the image
Old photos can be a joy to look at, inspect, and discover detais galore.
This photo from about 1958 was shot in Lindau am Bodensee in Germany and shows the busy Maximilianstraße. Back then, the street was still easily accessible by car, and I can spot at least three Vokswagen Beetle (left, right, and in the far back) as well as several other nice cars of the past. Sadly, the car in the bottom right corner is not fully visible. From the looks of it, it could be a sports car.
Today, the street is a pedestrian area with limited access for vehicles. Most of the stores have changed, but otherwise there are no big changes. Which is…
Very nice!
