The story behind the image
To Europeans, the U.S. seem to be the country of exaggeration. Everything seems to be bigger and faster. The more, the merrier. (Mind you, I am not objecting any of this. I love the country.) And Las Vegas tries to live this mindset and even exceed visitors expectations. Temperatures are hotter, shows and attractions bigger, and the hotels truly incredible.
So we were not surprised to find a rental car company that offered exclusive sports cars. The fleet had been parked nicely in front of the office, one car nicer than the other, and each one a true dream car (alas, for boys like me.)
But they all had giant ads inside the cars, hanging from the mirror. Booo! But then one of the staff prepared one car – a bright red Ferrari F355 Spider – for a customer (not me.) He had removed the ad and left the door open for a minute or so to fetch something he had forgotten in the office.
That was my opportunity to take an ad-free photo from this real dream car. 🙂
