The story behind the image
This image shows the Russian tall ship Nadezhda as it glides acorss the Baltic Sea near Kiel in Germany during the biggest sailing event in the world, the Kiel Week.
Despite the dark clouds, the sun had been coming out that day and gently illuminated the giant ship of almost 360 ft total length (110 meters.)
The Nadezhda is a sister ship of the Mir which used to be a welcome guest on sailing festivals around the world.
