The story behind the image

We were exploring the coast of Québec in Canada and found Matane, a friendly town right next to the Saint Lawrence River. The large sign post advertised an Antique Voitures show. An opportunity we did not want to miss.

Among the many beautiful old cars there was also a turquoise 1976 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. While I am not a huge fan of this specific model, this one caught my eye, because the owners had placed a scale model of that car on the dashoard. The paint of the model was a bit more saturated, but other than that it looked exactly the same as the original car.

I found this self-reference funny and couldn’t resist to take a picture.

As lways, please feel free to read more about the Chevy Monte Carlo at Wikipedia.
