The story behind the image

Back in spring 1999 I visited Bologna in Italy for the first time, and I immediately fell in love with the city. (Petra had been here before, on a school exchange.)

While we explored the city we came across the Giardini Margherita, a small, but very nice park slightly outside the city center but still within walking distance. It’s a jewel that still waits to be discovered by tourists.

There was a pool with several fountains that were splashing water, and the overall impression had some magic to it, because spring had progressed clearly much more than back home in Munich. 🙂
