The story behind the image
Christmas 1967. I was two years old. And of course I cannot remember this specific moment. Well, not even the period. I was simply too young.
However, I faintly remember the good, positive, peaceful mood of the Christmas celebrations at home. My parents always managed to arrange the fest nicely for our small family of three. Sometimes we would drive the all the way to the grandparents in Flensburg but this happened rather on the 25th or 26th December.
The photo perfectly captured the genuine happiness and joy of the 24th December 1967.
Merry Christmas to you and yours!
