The story behind the image
You can’t travel to the Canadian Rocky Mountains without considering a hike up to the Columbia Icefield and the Athabasca glacier. Our hike was rather short and did not look too steep but at 2,000 meters altitude we felt every step we made.
I used the tele lens for this photo which further shrinks the folks who cautiously walked on the frozen surface of the glacier. One guy (probably a guide) was even wearing shorts!
It is one of the (many) must-see attractions in the Jasper National Park.
