The story behind the image

We drove on the Trans-Canada-Highway from Sicamous in British Columbia towards Salmon Arm, where we wanted to stay for a night and – believe it or not – we managed to find an accommodation! The entire area is one giant beautiful spot, and even from the highway you can experience exciting views like this one. Just use one of the several parking lots next to the highway, get out of the car, refresh, and take your photos. 🙂

For this photo I used the 300mm tele lens. A boat raced across the lake heading towards our location, and I deliberately placed it at the bottom of the frame to underline its tiny size in this mejestic landscape.

The image works well as black-and-white, too, but I am undecided which variant is better.

In any event, this moment was overwhelming.
