The story behind the image
A couple of weeks ago we’ve been to the grand season opening of the Bayerische Staatsoper (Bavarian State Opera) in Munich, and the opera house had an open-door event before the premiere in the evening. This enabled us to take an inspiring look behind the scenes and to experience the opera house from many different angles.
This image shows the huge chandelier at the south-eastern wing. I took the opportunity to position myself with my camera, err, smartphone right below the light and capture a perfectly centered image.
I just love it.
