The story behind the image
The former Neubiberg Air Base has been closed 30 years ago and was turned into a public park. This is a heaven for people looking for relaxation, from runners, cyclists, and walkers to artists and photographers.
I am very fortunate to live close-by and can explore the park whenever I want to. And exploration is needed, because there are countless attractive places that are slightly hidden and can be discovered once you leave the huge paved landing strip that dominates the scene. Expect bunkers, sheep, birds, abandoned railroad tracks and hidden paths like this one that I found on top of a protective dam.
I like the image for its contrast, strong colors and clear geometry.
