The story behind the image
As November is in full swing with thick grey clouds hanging in the sky, let’s do a bit of daydreaming of the beach. In summer.
In 2016 we picked the Italian town Cattolica near Rimini for our Pentecost vacation. And we had a great time at the Villa Fiorita, concretely in their Begonia appartment.
Situated directly at the beach promenade, it still had a fabulous pool which was not too busy so early in the year. But the beach was just a few steps away and so we rented an umbrella and two sun beds as well. We opted for Bagno 69 which also is known as OASIS. And a true oasis it was – not too busy, all amenities you could wish for, and super friendly bagninos.
The town of Cattolica was also very nice. It had everything that you’d expect from a tourist town, including retail stores, restaurants, and a small, busy working harbour. It can be reached conveniently via the Autostrada A14.
