The story behind the image
The summer of 2016 saw us for the first time visiting the Carinthia region in Austria. We stayed at the small and cozy Faaker See near Villach. From here, we explored the attractions of the region.
One of these attractions were the Fallbachtal Waterfalls in Malta, at the northern end of Carinthia. From the highway we drove through several small villages of the Malta valley until we suddenly saw the majestic waterfalls thundering over the edge of the tall rocks.
It had been a hot day, and we needed to cool down. So we parked the car and I took this image. Then we headed for the main entrance of the water park which is fed by the water of the falls.
Why go to Canada to experience stunning waterfalls when natural beauty is just around the corner?
