The story behind the image
We drove very slowly from the Halali restcamp towards Okaukuejo that day, watching our surroundings for special activities. It’s not a long distance by any means, so we took our time and put in several pauses.
At first, there was nothing too exciting. However, this single tree grabbed my attention as it stood isolated right next to the Etosha Pan – a lake that is dry most of the time, hence the white color – which resulted in a nice white background.
The image is almost straight from camera, by the way.
Lovely.
