The story behind the image
We visited the Cape of Good Hope on a day in the South African summer. The drive to the Cape (via Muizenberg, St. James, Fish Hoek, and SImon’s Town) was stunning and we stopped several times to enjoy the views and take photos. Turn after turn we discovered new sights.
The Cape iself – or rather The Cape Point Nature Reserve – was busy with tourists who were mostly climbing the path that lead to the lighthouse high above the water.
My photo shows Diaz Beach right next to the lighthouse. The large waves that gently rolled onto the beach and the turqouise water were an unforgettable sight.
Lovely.
