The story behind the image
Munich in Germany is an excellent place to live in. Not only can you enjoy all the benefits of a big city – museums, restaurants and theaters, concerts, and shopping – but you can enjoy the long walks in the city center.
One cold afternoon in January 1999 we did so by walking along the river Isar. There is a dam between Deutsches Museum and the Praterinsel. The low sun already casted orange light and I captured this moment on negative film. The colors turned out to be great (right away), so just very little further editing was required.
Very, very nice.
