The story behind the image
We were exploring the coast of Québec in Canada and found Matane, a friendly town right next to the Saint Lawrence River. The large sign post advertised an Antique Voitures show. An opportunity we did not want to miss.
There was a 1957 Chevrolet 150 4-Door Sedan on exhibition, a true icon of the late 1950s. Its paint was turquoise metallic (probably a custom paint) which looked awesome against the blue sky. I wanted to capture the Chevrolet logo in combination with the paint and the sky and found an extreme angle that included some of the chrome bumpers. The use of f/2.8 blurred the chrome portion in the front as well as the top of the lid.
The result: A unique visualization of almost all turquoise/blue colors in a single image, with the wordmark getting the center stage.
Awesome.
