The story behind the image
Here’s a nice image from our neighborhood. It shows our tiny local river Hachinger Bach as it passes a huge field near Neubiberg. The image shows the historic view of the village with large farm buildings on the left, the church St. Georg in the center, and small houses center to right.
However, this view does not show the large area covered by multi-story appartment houses, supermarkets, office buildings, and the Universität der Bundeswehr München. When you look at Neubiberg on satellite images you will immediately recignize all of these.
And this makes this image special, at least somewhat. While it has not been manipulated in any way, it does not show the full reality either.
