The story behind the image
The summer of 2007 saw us again joining my father-in-law for a sailing trip across the Baltic Sea. This time, Petra and I flew to Copenhagen in Denmark to board the nice sailing yacht, the Carina.
This was the perfect start of our journey, because it was sunny and warm which makes any city look and feel better for tourists. However, as these weather conditions are fewer and periods are shorter in the Nordics, people tend to be even more excited and relaxed.
My father-in-law had found a space at Christianshavn, a quarter that is known for its hip cafes and canals. It’s just a few steps away from city center, and we really enjoyed the two nights we spent there.
