The story behind the image
When we travelled for three weeks across Ireland, we also stayed for one night in Kilkenny, a large town on the countryside in the south-east. The town is busy (and buzzing) and a good stopover. The castle looks great, and there are several attractions in Co. Kilkenny, for example Jerpoint Abbey or The Smithwick’s Experience Center.
My photo shows Kilkenny Castle as it overlooks the River Nore. I like the fact that a sightseeing double decker bus stands on the bridge. As you can see, the weather was still a very mixed bag, and I’d love to return one day with better equipment and better weather. 🙂
