The story behind the image
Schliersee is home to a small community of nature lovers, and its easy to see why: its situated close to the mountains next to a beautiful lake (the Schliersee.)
The community also takes care of not following the trend of placing buildings whereever there is a small free spot of land which makes it a nice place for visiting and living.
My photo shows the historical church St. Sixtus which overtowers the houses of the village on a sunny day in spring.
So, when you are in the area and wondering what to do – why not take a side-trip to Schliersee and enjoy a walk around the lake? (And yes, it can be done!)
