The story behind the image
When I look though the archive I sometimes find images that makes me wonder: What on Earth did I think when shooting this? And then I start thinking of it and (usually) realize that I still like the photo.
This is one of these shots. It is a close-up of Petra’s hair in 1999. I really like the blonde-brown color of her hair. I like the way the hair forms a gentle curve from the top left to the bottom right. I like the razor-thin depth of field.
Of course, there is no deeper meaning to it, but I like the image. Even 26 years after I captured it somewhere in Italy.
