The story behind the image
When we visited the village of Ebbs in Austria to see the young Haflinger stallions being escorted from their summer paddock up in the Alps back into the valley we also could take a look at the stables. These were all modern and clean and provided a lot of space for the horses. In one of the buildings I discovered this cat on a hay bale.
The light was streaming in from the windows above the cat, providing a nice back light. While I am not a big fan of cats in general I really liked this sight. It looked so – natural, and, in a way, beautiful. Even to me.
Go figure.
P.S.: If you are in the area, please consider visiting the Fohlenhof Ebbs as they regulary run specatcular shows and organize events promoting Haflinger horses.
