The story behind the image
Here’s another image from our trip to the Dominican Republic in December 1998.
This image shows the large patio of the Hotel Terrazas Las Palmas which was located slightly outside of Cabarete. The hotel has changed its name since then and operated as Ocean Manor Resort most recently. Looking at the pictures today, it seems to have been upgraded significantly over time. The rooms look better, and they did not have that (small) Infinity Pool back then.
We liked the location slightly outside of the main village and directly at the beach. We travelled at the beginning of the stormy season and there was some heavy rain during our trip. Apart from that it was really good.
