The story behind the image

While we spent our summer vacation in Grömitz, Germany, we had the pleasure of attending a historic car show in town. The organizers had pulled together more than 300 stunning cars which filled three greens right next to the beach. Of course, this provided me with countless photo opportunities.

My image shows a close-up of the model logo of a beautiful 1959 Ford Galaxie Sunliner Convertible. You see, the late 1950s and 1960s were all excited about space. Cars followed this trend and started to look like rockets or spaceships. The designers of this car went an extra mile and developed a model logo that was fully aligned with the concept of space travel. It was streamlined. It suggested speed. It even had a micro tail added to the end that looked like the trace of a spaceship. Fabulous!

I really like the simplicity of the photo. A true eye-catcher.

Awesome.
