The story behind the image
It’s 1988 and I am with my girlfriend enroute to Portual. Somewhere near Bordeaux in France we passed several fields of sunflowers. This was an incredible experience for me as I had seen sunflowers before (of course) but I had never seen a full field of sunflowers. Here, near Bordeaux, the sunflower fields were almost ubiquitous, and I captured this photo during a stop.
Today is a bank holiday in Germany. This image adds further happiness to my day, and I hope to your day as well. 🙂
