The story behind the image
Are you looking for total tranquility, peace, and rough, unspoilt nature? Then look no further! You will find it in Scotland in a village called Crovie. Unbelievable, but true! Crovie is located at the north-eastern coast between Gardenstown and Pennan (the primary location of the 1983 hit movie Local Hero by Bill Forsyth.) It can only reached by using a steep, narrow road. But this ends at sea level, and there are no public parking lots available. But fear not! The friendly folks of Crovie have established a car park outside of the village, which enables you to capture awesome views of the village – and the coastline (my image above.)
So, if you are visiting the area, please consider a side trip to Crovie and do yourself (and the inhabitants) a favor and use their car park! After all, you really don’t want to disturb the peace by driving up and down the steep road, right?
