The story behind the image
In 2003 we spent a long weekend in Dublin, the Irish capital. The sun was shining – at least sometimes – and so we took the opportunity to shoot some of the attractions in sunshine! Yeah!
We walked up to the Trinity College where two statues flank the main entrance. This is the statue towards north, showing Edmund Burke (1729-1797), an Irishman from Dublin who graduated from the college in 1748 and became a an Anglo-Irish politician, journalist and philosopher. According to Wikipedia, he is regarded as the founder of the social and cultural philosophy of conservatism.
As always, Wikipedia knows a lot more.
