The story behind the image

I enjoy taking close-ups of items that are often overlooked. Like this emergency button that I found in a building in Grömitz, Germany. It looks like from the late 1960s or early 70s but is still in operation. It says: “When in danger, break the glass and press button”. I guess an alarm will sound to raise the attention of others. (I did not try it.)

I really like the vintage look of the red button, and so I put it into the exact center of the image. It works in many ways and is definitely an eye-catcher for any room.

Nice. 🙂
