The story behind the image
As you know, we’re back from our summer holidays in Grömitz in Germany. The village has a nice beach, a yacht harbour, steep cliffs, and a stunning promenade.
Here, I captured the warm glow of the earliest sunshine as it reflects in the buildings and beach chairs in the village center, near the sea pier.
The mood was incredible. A soft wind was blowing. Just very few people could be seen, mostly runners and dog walkers. However, a couple did an amazing photo shoot. The young woman had a black dress that moved beautifully in the soft wind, and the photographer was capturing her using two smartphones. I have not the faintest idea why he was doing that, and how he could focus on two devices at the same time – but I did not want to bother him as the two were so deeply involved in the session.
