What’s better to start the day with a sunrise? To me, it’s a run into the sunrise! (Weird, I know.) Here’s a sunrise I experienced a couple of weeks ago at Lensterstrand near Grömitz in Germany Grömitz, in case you don’t know, is a village between Oldenburg in Holstein and Lübeck and has a long history as a beach destination. It has all levels of accommodation, ranging from hotels and appartments to camping parks. This makes the village perfect for families.
The northern part of the village has some huge camping parks and is called Lensterstrand. Situated right next to sea, it takes just a few steps from your tent, caravan or RV to the long, clean beach.
During my run I just had to stop at the end of the Mittelweg to admire the sunrise. A bit of morning mist hovered over the harvested field, and I just thought it could hardly get any better.
