The story behind the image
Vancouver, B.C., is located at the Pacific Ocean, and this makes it the perfect place for maritime enthusiasts. Hence, there are several yacht harbours close to the city center.
My photo shows the yacht harbour at False Creek, captured from the Island Park Walk right below the Highway 99 bridge (Granville Bridge). In the back, you can see the majestic Burrard Bridge.
Looking at recent streetview images, I see that the area has not changed significantly. The boats and yachts seem to have become slightly larger, but that’s it already. It is still a beautiful place with lots of maritime spirit (and Granville Island is a must-see anyway.)
Nice.
