The story behind the image
The town of Clinton in British Columbia offered that authentic wild-west atmosphere we were looking for – more trucks than cars, horses on green paddocks, and not too many fellow tourists.
We stayed for a night in town and took a walk along the main street – Highway 97 –in the late afternoon. It is also known as Cariboo Highway.
One of the highlights on main street certainly was The North Road Trading Post, a store offering antiques, art, and collectibles, including old cars and historic construction vehicles.
I like the idea that these old vehicles probably had been standing there for ages already, taking just a long nap until a buyer restores them for yet another life or uses their parts to restore other vehicles.
