The story behind the image
The area between Bishop and Lee Vining in California is of utmost beauty. You’ve got the Mammoth Lakes, the Inyo National Forest, Mono Lake, and June Lake.
On our way towards Lee Vining we left Highway 395 to take the June Lake Loop, a stunning detour of about 16 Miles. It leads along June Lake (my photo above), Gull Lake, Silver Lake, and Grant Lake before meeting Hwy 395 again.
It is beautiful, and the surrounding nature is simply breathtaking!
