The story behind the image

Summer! Can you imagine a better place than being on a beautiful island at a clean beach with clear water? I am dreaming of this. Almost every day. 😉

This is a photo from the south coast of Sardinia, shot from the Parcheggio Capo Boi on Strada Provinciale 17 near Solanas. It shows the stunning bay and beach of the village.

Personally, I don’t think it can get much better.

By the way, the S.P. 17 is a hidden gem as it winds along the shoreline for many kilometers. Drivers from overseas have to be quite alert as there is a constant flow of turns, and the local drivers are often in a hurry and try to pass you even if the situation does not really allow for it (in our view, of course).

However, if you like to drive a car, this street is really fun to drive and well worth the side trip. Oh, and please do plan for several photo stops as the views are terrific. 🙂
