The story behind the image
This is the Pinnacle Cove at the Point Lobos State Natural Reserve, a small reserve just south of Carmel in California. Almost the entire coastal stretch between San Francisco and San Simeon was beautiful, which made it difficult to pick the best experiences. This natural reserve definitely belongs on the list.
The ancient woods and rocky shoreline made it a sacred place for the indigenous people. Today it is a place for photographers, artists, nature lovers from around the world. Narrow sandy footpaths guide you through the reserve, and you will be able to discover all kinds of animals. We discovered a number of seals resting on the rocks of Whaler’s Cove.
