The story behind the image
At the age of 34 I had not visited many beach hotels in my life, and when I arrived at the Hotel Club Al Moggar in Agadir, Marocco, in spring 2000, I was stunned by the beauty of this property. I liked the idea of having multiple swimming pools while the Atlantic Ocean was just a few steps away. They even had tennis courts! And the pools were as nice as the rest of the Hotel’s garden. Which was another surprise, because I had expected more dunes and less greens.
The view from our room – shown on my photo above – was fabulous. I deliberately opted to give the sky the center stage, which created an unusual angle and provided space for headlines and copy (if needed.)
