Generative AI in Art
Okay, here is the next item of a series exploring generative AI for art. I took the beautiful sunset image that ChatGPT had already created for me and requested a visualization in various styles to see and compare the results. I call this series Sunset in AI-Land.
So far, I’ve done it for: pointilism, cubism, pop art, comic style, surrealism, neo-expressionism, and water color style. I like them. Some more, some less, but they are all impressive in a way.
This time I used a different route. I asked ChatGPT to create a photo realistic look that resembles an old cabinet photo, circa 1890. I’ve seen hundreds of cabinet photos (mostly people in photo studios but also a number of landscape and architecture photos) and can honestly say I was stunned by the result. ChatGPT really nailed it with the first prompt. It even added a nice border (to which I added just the site name.)
Here’s the prompt as a starting point for you:
Create an image from the uploaded file that looks like an antique cabinet photo in black and white. Leave about 10% neutral space on the right hand. Keep the aspect ratio of 4 (width) to 3 (height).
Very, very nice!
