The story behind the image
This photo reminds me of my (short) time at the prestigious Stanford University in California. Seriously, I would almost have not been to the university at all!
You see, our trip to the South West of the United States came slowly to an end. We had spent our last night in a hotel in Petaluma, California, and had visited Point Reyes Lighthouse already. The weather was not good at all. Drizzle fell from dark grey clouds. Then, a tiny miracle happened. While we were approaching San Francisco again (on the Shoreline Highway) the sun came out!
So we decided to stay the afternoon at Stanford University. And what can I say? It’s simply stunning. It’s so much more than just a campus. It’s a town of its own, complete with a huge park and (beautiful) streets like Palm Drive (my photo above.)
And seriously, I wish I had spent more than just a couple of my life at Stanford University.
