Generative AI in Art
Okay, here is the next item of the mini series exploring generative AI for art. I took the beautiful sunset image that ChatGPT had already created for me and requested a visualization in various styles to see and compare the results. I call this series Sunset in AI-Land.
So far, I’ve done it for: pointilism, cubism, pop art, comic style (twice), and surrealism. I like them. Some more, some less, but they are all impressive in a way.
This time it is yet another variation of a comic drawing. I prompted the name of a very popular artist from Belgium who developed the comic style called Ligne Claire (clear line), which is characterized by clear contours, dispensing with hatching or shading. The coloring works with solid colors without gradients. Another distinctive feature of this artist are the detailed and realistic depictions of backgrounds and props.
ChatGPT did a great job creating an image that reflects this style. The sky shows a minimal gradien, but the rest of the image is on-point, really. It’s interesting that the service added black borders on three of the four sides.
Anyway, a great addition for the livingroom.
