The story behind the image
We stayed for a couple of nights in Sorrento near Napoli in Italy. One morning we visited Piazza Tasso which is the type example of a busy town center in southern Italy. Everyone seemed to be crossing the piazza at the same time: people, cars, and vespas!
We embraced the relaxed buzz and made our way through the many small streets with countless restaurants, bars, and gift shops. Of course, all of these were presented to attract tourists which did not make them tourist traps, though.
I loved our time in Sorrento and still remember it fondly. The only thing that was missing here was – a decent beach! There were a few tiny beaches and several piers for taking a (sun-) bath, but the experience was not comparable to the big beaches along the Italian west coast.
