The story behind the image

Squirrels? I love them. They are smart and busy animals that almost always make me smile.

Imagine my joy when I discovered one of these little fellows in the tree next to our home! It was a red-brown one, a European squirrel (Sciurus vulgaris) which is the dominant type in this region. However, it’s rare to see it so clearly and with such a beautiful bright fur.

Made my day.
