The story behind the image
Almost exactly one yaer ago I stood on the 56th floor of the Tour Montparnasse in Paris, France, and leaned against the large windows. The website had promised “breathtaking views” and simply “the best view of Paris”. And, being a marketer myself, I shrugged, thinking, “yeah, sure. Marketing language!”
I was completely wrong. Their words described the experience perfectly. Stunning views from high above the city. Super clean windows for good photos.
We entered the building at 8:30 pm and after the security checks we went up to the Observation Deck in just 38 seconds. And we were overwhelmed by the views, even more so when we discovered the Eiffel Tower!
We watched the sun set and spent more than two hours up there. Awesome.
You know, I’m afraid of heights, but this was okay. I felt extremely well and safe up here. I even tried the stairs that lead up to the rooftop but returned half-way. I’m not sorry for this, because the 56th floor was perfect already.
I captured a number of images and picked this one to share with you.
