Generative AI in Art
As you know by now, I recently discovered generative AI for photography, and I have a lot of fun with it. One concrete idea has developed over the past couple of weeks. I took the beautiful sunset image that ChatGPT had already created for me and requested a visualization in various styles to see and compare the results.
So far, I’ve done it for: pointilism, cubism, and pop art. Is it boring? Original? I don’t care! I like them. Some more, some less, but they are all impressive in a way. In fact, the results convinced me so much that I am going to turn them into a series and publish a bonus post every sunday for a couple of weeks.
Today’s addition is a drawing, comic style. I really love this image. It reminds me of the times when I was a kid. I would be waiting for the next issue of my preferred comic magazine and then rush to the newsstand on Fridays to buy it. Colors, contrast, overall style and sharpness are fantastic. If only the image would be bigger.
By the way, closer inspection reveals that the two ropes that fall from the top of the mast end at the islands in the back. That must be loooong ropes then. I could have edited this or tweaked the prompt, but I opted to not do it to preserve the authenticity of the original artwork.
