The story behind the image
Our 2010 trip to the island of Sardinia was a photographic feast. Sardinia has so many beautiful sights that it’s impossible to visit them all in just two weeks, even if you restrict yourself to the center and south.
My photo shows the lighthouse at the southern tip of Capo San Marco, a peninsula at the west coast. I really like the of dominance of green, light brown and blue color tones. (And, finally, here is a lighthouse that does not use strong contrast color combinations like red/white or black/white!) The building looked like it had seen better times, but it had been painted in the between 2010 and 2014. Wikipedia has more information on the lighthouse and its history.
At the time of writing, the lighthouse was still active (albeit fully automated.)
